Shown is as worn by officers of Custer's 7th Cavalry. Enlisted troops had
the yellow tasseled cord (or not). You may order regimental numbers 1
through 9 at $3.00 and 10 or so at $6.00. You can choose crossed cannons
for artillery. We have the hunting horn for pre-1875 infantry or crossed
rifles for 1875 and later. All officers wore the same black and gold cords
with all gold for generals. We have, of course, the red or blue cords for
artillery or infantry respectively.
This is the same hat style that was worn in the Southwest and in the old
John Wayne movies (in Sand color). You can specify the movie you want to
replicate. Trail and sweat stains, bullet holes with powder burns, or any
level of abuse or aging (experience) can be applied.
