This is a great looking hat and could be considered authentic for late
1870's, while the larger Tom Mix proportions came later still.
We form this hat on a Stetson 4X Beaver. We hand make the leather hat
band. Notice the leather is buffed for a rustic finish and the silver and
gold rope edge conchos have a patina.
The proportions of the crown versus brim are perfect with the 4 1/2"
brim; however, we can make it with a 5" brim,
1870's, while the larger Tom Mix proportions came later still.
