The hat Wyatt Earp wore in the movie Tombstone is larger than the real
Wyatt hat in both brim and crown but in the same style. Click this link to

Kurt Russel wore this style, which is a scaled-up version of the B.O.P. in
the movie Tombstone. All three brothers wore the same style; Morgan
wore gray and Virgil wore a dusty black one with the brim dipped in
front and back. The movie hats were 4" brims. The real Wyatt Earp hat
was a B.O.P with a smallish brim. I agree that the scaled up version is
more impressive and distinguishes the Earps from the Cowboys, many
of whom wore B.O.P.s.
